Landon Bishop

Landon Bishop is a junior at Yale College majoring in Urban Studies. He is passionate about disaster risk planning and affordable housing development for communities. Inspired by his experiences in post-Hurricane Katrina New Orleans, his interests lie in understanding how communities can recover from natural disasters. He has presented his research at the 2025 Connecticut Affordable Housing Conference as a Research Associate for the Partnership for Strong Communities and is a Generation Housing Justice Fellow at the National Low Income Housing Coalition. On campus, Landon has served as the New Haven Engagement Chair on the Yale College Council and currently as co-president of Y2Y New Haven, a campus group dedicated to addressing youth homelessness in Greater New Haven.
At the IEDL, Landon has edited episodes and written blurbs for Dr. Kate Cooney’s CitySCOPE podcast. He has also assisted Dr. Cooney on an upcoming book project on New Haven during the 1990s.
